In the context of a specific external growth strategy, FMV & ASSOCIÉS can help from the very outset of the process in identifying suitable target companies which would fit coherently into the client's Business Plan and growth strategy, thus optimizing value creation in the long term.
Targets can be selected directly by the client or sourced by FMV & ASSOCIÉS, in a sector and a geographic area defined together with the client.
Once targeted companies have been selected by the client and an initial approach has been made, FMV & ASSOCIÉS will enter into discussions with the key shareholders to ascertain their willingness to consider a change in the structure of the target's share capital, or alternately the sale of appropriate assets of their company.
At this stage, the client's identity remains confidential and all approaches are made on a no names basis.
Following such initial approach and if the client is in agreement, FMV & ASSOCIÉS will then proceed toward the acquisition phase. More details about typical key transaction steps and timeline can be found in the appropriate chapter.
